Community Guidelines

Help the next person out.

Effective July 8, 2026

OhSht runs on honest, firsthand information from people who've actually been somewhere. These guidelines keep it useful for the next traveler, driver, or parent who's counting on it.

What makes a good contribution

  • Firsthand, accurate, and current — based on your own visit, not hearsay
  • Specific and useful — hours, access, cleanliness, features, anything that helps someone decide
  • Respectful, even when the review is critical
  • Free of anyone's personal information but the reviewer's own experience

What's not welcome

  • Harassment, hate speech, or slurs directed at any person or group
  • Spam, promotional content, or reviews unrelated to the actual restroom or location
  • Fake reviews — for a place you haven't visited, written on someone's behalf, or paid for
  • Sharing another person's private information
  • Illegal content of any kind
  • Crude or graphic content that goes beyond describing conditions honestly

How enforcement works

Because OhSht has no accounts, there's no profile to suspend or ban. Enforcement happens at the content level: reviews or submissions that violate these guidelines are removed when found or reported. In cases of repeated abuse, we may take broader steps (like blocking a device or network from submitting content) to keep the platform usable for everyone else.

Reporting something

See a review or listing that doesn't belong? Email hello@ohsht.app with a link or description of the content. As a one-person team, we handle reports personally and do our best to respond quickly, though there's no guaranteed turnaround time yet.

These guidelines work alongside our Review Authenticity Policy and Content Moderation Policy.
