Terms of Service

The ground rules.

Effective July 8, 2026 · OhSht, operated as an independent project by its founder in Reno, Nevada

By using OhSht, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as short and plain as we could, given that they're still terms.

1. What OhSht is

OhSht is a public restroom discovery platform: a map with community-submitted reviews, ratings, and details, built so you can find a nearby restroom and know what to expect before you arrive. It is currently operated as an independent project by its solo founder, in public beta, with no employees and no office — and these terms describe that reality, not something bigger.

2. No account required

You can search, browse, and use the core features of OhSht without creating an account. Some contributions (like reviews) are submitted anonymously. Because there are no accounts, there is nothing to register, recover, or delete on our end tied to your identity.

3. Who can use OhSht

You must be at least 13 years old to use OhSht or submit a review. By using the app, you're confirming that's true.

4. Content you submit

When you submit a review, rating, or location detail, you're contributing to a shared, public dataset. By submitting it, you grant OhSht a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content as part of the service. You agree that what you submit is accurate to your own experience, isn't unlawful, abusive, or someone else's private information, and follows our Community Guidelines.

We may remove or edit submitted content that violates these terms or our guidelines, at our discretion, without notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, defamatory, or misleading reviews or location information
  • Post harassing, hateful, or abusive content
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
  • Use OhSht for any unlawful purpose

6. Information accuracy

Restroom information on OhSht comes largely from the community and may be outdated, incomplete, or wrong — hours change, businesses close, conditions vary day to day. Use your own judgment when you arrive. See our Safety and Accuracy Disclaimer for more.

7. The service is provided "as is"

OhSht is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information in it is accurate or complete. As a public beta run by one person, things may occasionally break, change, or go offline.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OhSht and its founder aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on information found in it. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

9. Changes to the service or these terms

OhSht is actively evolving. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and may update these terms as the product and its legal structure develop. Material changes will update the effective date above.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, reflecting where OhSht is currently based.
